Foggy day

I am still on a lazy spell. This is what I wore on a cold, foggy day to go to my li'l girls' play date. It was a good day to hang around with other mommies, eat lots of comfort food and wear comfortable clothing.

The missing leather jacket

I went to get my hair done yesterday and wore this. I took photos before I left the house then when I was all done and ready to leave I realized that I didn't take a photo of the COMPLETE outfit. I wore a black leather trench coat (that fell right below my behind) <- I couldn't think of a better way to say it! LOL! And I also had on black leather gloves. Oh well!

Knit sweater: Zara ($15.99 from Black Friday)
Turtleneck shirt: Old navy
Jeans: Forever 21
Boots: Banana Republic (fron last years' Black Friday)
Bag: Steve Madden (via Ross)

It's been cold cold cold this week in Austin. Winter has kicked in. I wore this today to do some quick errands. I wasn't outdoors very long so the person underneath this outfit survived the 38 degree weather. :)

Scarf: Forever 21
Long sleeve shirt: freebie from Lexus (gift from sis)
Jeans: Calvin Klein (these have studs on the front pockets)
Boots: Steve Madden

Month of sparkles

December is here! There are lots going on this month. Just 24 more days till Christmas. Next week is my sisters birthday and my 4th wedding anniversary. My daughter is turning two the week before Christmas. Definitely a lot of "sparkles" for me! :)

This was a quick outfit for today to do some errands. I got the shirt from the Black Friday sale at Zara for $15.99. They really didn't have much sale going on. This year I was kind of lazy to do all that black friday shopping so I only stopped by Zara, Anthro, and Forever 21. It was very convenient that they were right next to each other. :)

I thought I'd pair this shirt with these studded oxfords from Wanted. I just love the embellishment on these shoes!

Lack of posts

I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend! :)

Sorry for the lack of posts lately... I haven't been getting out of the house much. And when I did, I either was wearing something that was not blog worthy or I got home too late to take outfit shots. I promise I will be back soon! :)

For those who have kids, don't you just love Baby Gap?? :) Her skirt (with leggings) and shirt are from there. The pink sandals are from H&M and her vest from Old Navy.

S-ick

I haven't been out of the house since Sunday... my daughter passed on the icky virus to me... but better me than her... she's much better now :)

I wore this outfit last Saturday to a baby shower. It was in the low 60's when I left the house in the morning, by the time the party was done it was in the mid 70's. Oh well!

Happy Weekend!

Sweater: Papaya
Skirt: Delia's
Boots: Zara

I AnthroPOLOGIZE

Sick + baby = less blog posts. My poor little girl has been going through some weird virus/sickness since last Monday. She seems to be getting over it now but it sure is taking so long! :(

So I apologize for the lack of usual posts lately. This outfit was actually from Halloween. We took the little one to the mall to trick or treat. I included a photo below of her in her costume :) She must have caught something from there or from the Halloween party we attended last weekend. Who knows.

This whole outfit (with the exception of the shoes) is from Anthropology. When I posted this, I actually went back a few days later to check if there were any more good deals. The pants was $17 (used to be $118) and the sweater was $24 (used to be $98).  It was 40% off on top of the sale price!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! :)

Pants, sweater, cami: Anthropologie
Flats: Aldo
Watch: Michael Kors
Bangle: Forever21

And here was our little kitty trick or treating! :)

Perfect Day

So I was ready for that perfect day last Sunday... and this is what I wore to dinner with some friends.

I found this leather jacket at Wilson's Leather at the Outlet Mall two black fridays ago. It was on clearance plus it was the last one in my size. I love finds like this. I thought it would be great to pair with these cobalt blue pants and booties.

Jacket: Wilson's Leather
Pants: American Eagle
Boots, shirt: Zara

Delayed reaction

My outfit posts will be out of whack this week... too many activities going on...

I wore this last Saturday. It was nice and chilly (but not too cold) so I decided to use my trench coat and scarf. Everything in this outfit is from Zara with the exception of the loafers which is courtesy of Wanted. I saw this "outfit" on a Zara mannequin a while back (different shoes though) and I was drawn to the red/tan combo. This trench is from the kids section by the way... perks of being petite... and much cheaper price too! :)

One week ago...

... this was my outfit. I wore this last Friday and yes it took me a week to post it! :)

This blouse was thrifted (also worn here) way back in 2005/2006. The back is lace all the way down until where the design starts again. I just wore a blank cami underneath. I've never seen anything like it and it only cost me like a dollar or even less than that I think (I am converting peso to dollar and that is the equivalent)! Plus it is made in Italy. How I wish I can find more deals like this! I thought it would be perfect with this skirt from Modcloth.

Happy weekend everyone! And if you are still interested to join my giveaway, you have till Sunday... I know it's really not fashion related but someone might benefit from it :)

Cords

Closet item for yesterday was this rose pink corduroy pants from Banana Republic (bought last year). I was running errands and there is nothing better than being in comfortable clothes especially with a little toddler. So I paired it with these boots from Target ($20!) and one of my favorite knit shirts. I've had this shirt for almost two years now. It was in the mid 80's yesterday but I wore a knit anyway! It was just right inside Crate and Barrel where the A/C was blasting in the upper 60's! :)

A passion for photography - GIVEAWAY!!!

I have received a few comments on how they appreciate the way I do my photos on this blog, especially the detail shots. These pictures make up for not being able to take outfit photos outdoors (like many amazing bloggers). Aside from clothes and shoes, I have a passion for photography. I run a separate blog for this passion and if you are interested, you can check it out here

I bought my first SLR in 2008 and would shoot at anything that caught my eye. When my daughter was born, my interest in photography grew even more. I bought books and spent hours and hours online just absorbing all the knowledge I can get. And then I discovered Clickin Moms. It is a site where women (mommy or not) can share their photos and a love for photography. It is there where I learned so much and continue to learn the craft. It is there where I found so many wonderful photographers who do amazing work like Sarah of My Four Hens Photography or Mindy of Pastel Photography to name a few.

So, my friends over at Clickin Moms is offering a free 1 year membership ($50 value) to one of my lovely readers!

All you have to do is:

1) Follow this blog via Google Friend Connect (if you are not already following)
2) Leave a comment below that you've done #1

That's it! I will randomly choose a winner one week from today (Oct 31). Good Luck! If you win, aside from learning TONS about photography, you may even find an amazing photographer in your area to take individual/family portraits. The holidays are around the corner, it would be perfect for those Christmas cards! :)

P.S. I ate that cupcake right after I took that photo... it is as good as it looks! :)

A love-hate relationship with Anthropologie

I love the clothes at Anthro... but most of the time my wallet hates them because their clothing is a bit expensive! When I go window shopping, I literally just glance at what is inside that store from the window. I don't even bother going in because I know I will only find clothing that I like that is out of my budget.

But last Sunday, when my lovely hubby gave me the day off (meaning he becomes daddy day-care and I can have my "me, myself and I" time), I decided to stroll around in there. It's so much easier anyway without a huge stroller with me! Their sale section was an additional 40% off the lowest ticketed price! I ended up with so much in the fitting room I had to start doing the "need vs. want" debate. So I left the store with these two items.

This black blouse (as worn in my previous post) retails for $98. It was marked down to $49.95. Then further marked down to $29.95. Plus the 40% off, final price was $17.97!

I fell in love with this pink skirt the moment I laid eyes on it! The retail price was $158. It was marked down to $79.95 then further down to $39.95. Plus the additional 40% off, final price was $23.97! Now how can I just walk away from that?! :)

Keeping it simple

I chose to dress simple today. Just jeans, a blouse and flats. The weather is climbing back up again so I wore this black blouse from Anthro. Will you believe me if I told you that I got this for $17.97?? I will share my deal find at Anthro in my next post. :)

I am in the process of getting rid of old clothes and those that no longer fit me. Sadly, having a baby just adds a little here and there and some clothes no longer fit right! I want my closet to be simple! Then I realized I only have one black top (and it's sleeveless)! So for a while now, I have been searching for a black blouse. I loved this because: 1) of the price!! 2) it just flows right, and 3) the little crochet design on the sleeves and the bottom makes it more feminine. BUT if this was not on sale (retail value was $98), I wouldn't have bought it! :)
