In shades of pink and gray

Today I decided to play around with clothes and accessories I haven't worn for a while. And since we are still on summer mode, I might as well take advantage of it and wear more dresses. I bought this dress at Forever 21 almost two years ago. It was the last one PLUS it was on sale. I love the word SALE! :)

It already has a lot of things going on by itself so I just wore it with simple pearl earrings and this headband (which was on clearance during a black friday sale). The photos make it look like the dress is blue/puple but it actually is dark gray (as shown on the detail photos).

Into the green

It was one of those days where I just wanted to dress up with nothing really going on. I decided to go stroll around at the mall. Three women walked up to me and asked me where I got my shoes. The Zara store here did not have it at the time I wanted them. Their online store was not live yet. So I did get these shoes in the store but halfway around the world during a visit to my hometown! :)

Sunday's outfit

Boring title but this is exactly what it was... a dress  I grabbed to go to brunch and then grocery shopping on Sunday... I could have gone with shorts and a tee but I opted to wear this Forever 21 dress (I've had this for 3 years now!) and H&M sandals instead. We still have summer weather here!

Flowers in bloom

Today's closet item is this pastel pink cafe capri pants from Jcrew. It was on sale online for $13.99. I am petite so the length was perfect for me - no alterations needed! :) The scarf immediately caught my attention several months ago at World Market. It has shades of pastel pink so I paired it with these pants and one of my favorite wedges. The colors just makes the outfit lively!

Red splash

Closet item for yesterday was this white blouse from Forever 21. So far it has lasted for more than a year now. For the price of less than $25, the quality is pretty good. I paired it with these red jeans and red ballet flats.

Date night

You never miss date nights with your other half until it comes to a point where you never get a chance to have them. The last movie we saw in the theaters was Avatar. Yes it has been THAT long! Now that our little one is more manageable, we took the opportunity to watch a movie while the mother-in-law was in town. So I just threw on this simple outfit and enjoyed the evening!

Hello World!

I can't believe that it has been a month since my last update. Before anything else I'd like to say THANK YOU for stopping by every so often. I have been out of blogging mode lately. There are three major reasons behind this: 1) my toddler requires my attention almost ALL the time during the day 2) when she does go get her 1 hour nap I have to do housewifey things, and 3) when I get a little break I end up either getting a little bit of exercise or laying on the couch watching TV! I also rarely go out because when I do, my eyes always (ALWAYS) finds something I don't really need. There really is no where else to go with this heat except to the mall ! So most of my shopping are in grocery stores! And yes I dress like this! :) I gotta wear 'em clothes and shoes!

Anyway, this whole outfit is from H&M. Next to Zara, I love that store! Good thing the closest one is 4 hours away! I DON'T NEED ANYTHING ELSE (a reminder to myself)! I have been trying, for a week now, to purge my closet. But for some reason I just can't get it done. I just sit there and can't seem to let go of anything! Sigh! I know I haven't worn some of them for more than a year. I really need to push myself to accomplish this!

My favorite accessories lately is this charm bracelet and necklace from Tiffany's... I had my name engraved on the heart charm to make it a little bit more personal. I just have one more charm on my wish list and the bracelet is complete!

Be Cool

I never really thought of myself as being cool. I do think that this shirt is cool though plus it's from my favorite store! I ALWAYS tell myself to not go into that store! Especially when there is a big red SALE sign plastered on the window. But no, I go in anyway to just "look". Yeah right. I come out of the store with this shirt for $9.99 and this bag for $29.99! Sigh. Perhaps I should rename this blog "Confessions of a Shopaholic"! I love that book by the way! :)

However, I do want to point out that the bag is awesome! It used to be $79.99 and it is big enough (and not too large) to fit baby stuff when I am out and about with my little girl. The handle is a different color which makes it a little unique. Perfect!

Feeling blue and lazy

No excuses here... I have just been really lazy lately! I think our trip on the other side of the world burned me out. Two and a half weeks with an 18 month old was too definitely too short to just relax. Plus, it has been over 100 degrees here everyday and because of that I have been going out once a week. I have to force myself to go out before I lose touch of the outside world. :)

I am slowly snapping out of it so please bare with me :) I bought this dress at a store called Lara's in Torrance, CA the day before we flew back home. Not sure if that store is local there, I've never seen it anywhere else. I paired it with the Coach wedges that I got during the Nordstrom half year sale and a couple of bangles from Forever 21 and an orange bead bangle I got in Singapore back in 2006. The earrings are from a long time ago bought in a flea market.

So I am not really feeling blue... just lazy... but I have been obsessing over charm bracelets lately. So, thanks to hubby, I got me one of those that come in a blue box. My first Tiffany. :) Now I need three charms to go on there. What gift-worthy occasions are coming up... hmmm... birthday is not till next year... Valentines is just right after the birthday... I guess Christmas is the closest one.
