I am still on a lazy spell. This is what I wore on a cold, foggy day to go to my li'l girls' play date. It was a good day to hang around with other mommies, eat lots of comfort food and wear comfortable clothing.

Just a play date
Nothing special going on today... another comfy outfit for my little one's play date plus a few errands. This striped tee from Zara is made from organic cotton and is only $17!
I just realized that I have never really worn this necklace that my brother gave me several years ago when he was in Saudi (he was in the Navy). Or maybe I wore it once or twice but it has been so long. The pendant has my name on it in both english and arabic. My sisters and I each have our own. The symbols on there are actually pretty cool!

A stripey day
So I was in the mood for more stripes and color blocking today. Our trip is coming up and I have tons to do. One little person needs too many things. This will be the first airplane ride for out little one and it's a 20 hour trip!
Today, and the rest of the week, is pretty much running errands and last minute shopping. Meaning my outfits will be synonyms of comfortable.

Casual stripes
Today has been a really busy day. We had our carpets steam cleaned so I had to break down my studio and move furniture around. Not fun.
But Sunday was a relaxing day. So no this was not my outfit today. I wore this the other day during dinner with some friends. Ruehl shirts have the softest fabric - it feels like you have a fluffy cotton towel wrapped around you (a little exaggeration here). Their shirts are so soft that my husband has invited me to go in there several times while we are window shopping. He hates shopping by the way.

White pile
I still had my white clothing pile from yesterday so I thought I'd do another outfit for white-out! Thank you Ms. Weather for allowing me to wear my scarf today. Blue sky, sunshine, 70 degrees and a light breeze just puts you in a happy mood. I'm not quite ready for Texas summer yet! This outfit may not exactly be all white, but everything else underneath that sweater is. Does that count??

Laziness and patterns
A friend of mine just moved here from halfway around the world and needed to get some furniture. Being the newbie in town, I accompanied her to Ikea - the ultimate furniture shopping place! Not to mention that they have free organic baby food and free diapers in the changing areas! Can't beat that. Oh and they have cheap yummy food too!
So I was lazy to dress up and used this 3/4 sleeve striped shirt. Who dresses up to go to Ikea anyway? Although I have seen women walking around in there in 3 in heels. Eek! Nope not me... I'm a flats girl on occasions that require 98% walking!
I really didn't need anything at Ikea so the little girl and I just wandered around. I was amused by all the patterns and colors so I played with my camera instead.

In living color
I am loving all the colors this Spring and I saw this tank last week for $19.99 - right at my budget! Perfect! I was inspired by all the colors at the store paired with white so I came up with this for the office yesterday. It was 92F outside but 80F inside the building so the light jacket didn't make me feel too warm! Phew!
