The missing leather jacket

I went to get my hair done yesterday and wore this. I took photos before I left the house then when I was all done and ready to leave I realized that I didn't take a photo of the COMPLETE outfit. I wore a black leather trench coat (that fell right below my behind) <- I couldn't think of a better way to say it! LOL! And I also had on black leather gloves. Oh well!

Knit sweater: Zara ($15.99 from Black Friday)
Turtleneck shirt: Old navy
Jeans: Forever 21
Boots: Banana Republic (fron last years' Black Friday)
Bag: Steve Madden (via Ross)

Brrr

It's been cold cold cold this week in Austin. Winter has kicked in. I wore this today to do some quick errands. I wasn't outdoors very long so the person underneath this outfit survived the 38 degree weather. :)

Leather jacket: Zara
Scarf: Forever 21
Long sleeve shirt: freebie from Lexus (gift from sis)
Jeans: Calvin Klein (these have studs on the front pockets)
Boots: Steve Madden

Month of sparkles

December is here! There are lots going on this month. Just 24 more days till Christmas. Next week is my sisters birthday and my 4th wedding anniversary. My daughter is turning two the week before Christmas. Definitely a lot of "sparkles" for me! :)

This was a quick outfit for today to do some errands. I got the shirt from the Black Friday sale at Zara for $15.99. They really didn't have much sale going on. This year I was kind of lazy to do all that black friday shopping so I only stopped by Zara, Anthro, and Forever 21. It was very convenient that they were right next to each other. :)

I thought I'd pair this shirt with these studded oxfords from Wanted. I just love the embellishment on these shoes!

Delayed reaction

My outfit posts will be out of whack this week... too many activities going on...

I wore this last Saturday. It was nice and chilly (but not too cold) so I decided to use my trench coat and scarf. Everything in this outfit is from Zara with the exception of the loafers which is courtesy of Wanted. I saw this "outfit" on a Zara mannequin a while back (different shoes though) and I was drawn to the red/tan combo. This trench is from the kids section by the way... perks of being petite... and much cheaper price too! :)

Keeping it simple

I chose to dress simple today. Just jeans, a blouse and flats. The weather is climbing back up again so I wore this black blouse from Anthro. Will you believe me if I told you that I got this for $17.97?? I will share my deal find at Anthro in my next post. :)

I am in the process of getting rid of old clothes and those that no longer fit me. Sadly, having a baby just adds a little here and there and some clothes no longer fit right! I want my closet to be simple! Then I realized I only have one black top (and it's sleeveless)! So for a while now, I have been searching for a black blouse. I loved this because: 1) of the price!! 2) it just flows right, and 3) the little crochet design on the sleeves and the bottom makes it more feminine. BUT if this was not on sale (retail value was $98), I wouldn't have bought it! :)

Finally!

We finally have some cool weather today! High of 71 degrees! I got so excited I couldn't decide which "cold weather" outfit to wear! :)

So I chose this light sweater from Forever 21. I wore it on top of a satin blouse from Gap, green skinny jeans from Zara and my Intyce boots from Steve Madden I've been wanting to wear since the start of the "ber" months. HSN was having this Steve Madden special a couple of months ago and these boots were selling fast! It was hard choosing the color, I wanted all of them! In the end, I ended up with this since I already have black and brown boots. Who doesn't love those "4 easy payments of $..." deals?! :)

Blues and animal prints

When I first saw this blouse at Zara I thought it was black... I took it home with me and looked closely and realized that it was actually dark blue. Oh well, I love it anyway! :)

So today is going to be a high of 85F! Woot! In this part of the country, we are happy at ANY chance of cooler weather. But yes, 85 is still WARM! :( I decided to start taking out some of my boots from their boxes. These Nine West booties have been with me since 2008. I remember I bought it with another pair of boots plus the bag I am wearing in this outfit! All in camel color! It was a good sale! My husband was in China on business at the time... so what's a lonely wife (who just started a new job) to do?? Break in the first salary and SHOP! :)

Happy weekend!

Leopard anyone?

I wanted to wear red today... with a scarf.. and a trench coat... but I don't think I could pull it off when it's still in the upper 80's outside! So I will reserve that outfit next month when it is cooler (I can only hope)! This 3-digit weather is really getting old!

So I went with this blouse from Zara instead to pair with these leopard loafers (courtesy of Wanted). These shoes (from their Fall line) are as comfortable as they look! I can already see it as part of my Fall wardrobe. I am not surprised that it is a hot seller right now. Plus the fact that it is faux pony hair makes me like it even more!

I added a little pop of orange to this outfit. The other bracelet is actually a necklace that I just wrapped around my hand. And since I will be out tonight to meet up with some friends, I get to wear a blazer! :)

Happy weekend!!

Red splash

Closet item for yesterday was this white blouse from Forever 21. So far it has lasted for more than a year now. For the price of less than $25, the quality is pretty good. I paired it with these red jeans and red ballet flats.

Walking tall

One of the many things I am loving about these wedges is that it adds 4 inches to my petiteness! My colleague asked me today if I grew taller. I said yes, overnight!

I bought this blouse two years ago during the black friday sale. I'm pretty sure I got it for less than $10. I thought I'd pair it today with some nice jeans (haven't worn one in a while). And speaking of jeans, I've always wondered why 7 for All Mankind costs so much. This one retails for almost $200. They are just super comfortable, made in the land of the free and snugs in the right places. Need I say more? Did I buy it new? Of course not! These were thrifted for $50. Still a bit high for a thrift item but much better than $200! Plus they were slightly used. Thank you to the previous owner who probably decided it was time to get a new one after about 10 times of wearing them.

White Out

The challenge for this week's Bloggers Do It Better series is spring's all-white ("White Out") trend. I took part in this trend on this post but wanted to come up with another outfit for the challenge. I didn't know how difficult it would be until I gathered all my white clothes together and couldn't come up with one single outfit! So this morning, without looking, I grabbed one white clothing from the pile and decided to just work with that.

Today was in the low 70s (at least until about 2pm) so it was perfect to wear this light trench coat. At about 5pm, at 84 degrees, I had to drive back home without the jacket!
